This quilt was also made at the beginning of the first lockdown in the spring of 2020. It was to be exhibited at the Moscow international quilt festival (the theme was “light and darkness”) but the show was canceled because of the lock down.
It was selected for the SAQA regional “Europe and Middle East” exhibit which was displayed at the European Patchwork Meeting in Alsace, France in September 2022.
This is how I saw the diffracted light and hope through this lone window.
Mostly self-dyed but a few commercial fabrics, machine pieced and quilted.

Créé au début du premier confinement, en mars 2020. Il devait faire partie de l’exposition “lumière et ténèbres” au festival international du quilt de Moscou, mais l’exposition a été annulée à cause des confinements. Il a été sélectionné pour l’exposition SAQA régionale “Europe et Moyen Orient” qui a eu lieu en Alsace en Septembre 2022 au Carrefour européen du patchwork.
Voilà comment j’ai vu la lumière et l’espoir par ma fenêtre.
