#22-A couple of new textile paintings/ Quelques nouveaux tableaux
This month was interspersed with life events that didn't leave me much creative time, so I spent much less time in my studio room than usual: a visit to one of my sisters, then a nephew's wedding, and a family covid crisis (me, my husband and one of my sons).
We're off again for a 15-day hike in the Cévennes (Southern France) with 3 other couples friends of ours, but from mid-October onwards, I won't be leaving the studio: I've got 3 exhibitions to prepare for the spring.
"Cathédrales", which I've already told you about, will open in Nantes mid-March for a month at Passage Ste Croix, a magnificent old presbytery turned into a cultural center.
In May, I'll be at the opening of my exhibition "From River to Ocean" in Delaware: I applied last month for a solo exhibit and my application was selected from over a hundred artists.
I was invited last summer to exhibit my "Neighborhood" series In Columbus, Ohio next June.
And unexpectedly, I have recently been invited to teach for 4 days at the Australian Textile Convention in April. I'm delighted because it's a destination I'd never have imagined (too far, too expensive...). Expenses are covered by the organizers. It will give me the opportunity to meet artists from another world.
Be well, be creative and see you next month!
Portez-vous bien, soyez créatifs et rendez-vous le mois prochain!
