Dark reflexions, 2019, 20” x 14”
I wanted to try a monochrome black and white landscape and experience the feeling of duplicating it in color. However, I had the urge to add a bit of green and red to the black and white version, which was too dull for my taste. I chose pastel colors from my stash of self-dyed fabrics for the colored version.
Self-dyed and commercial cottons, machine pieced and quilted.

Au départ, un essai de paysage monochrome en noir et blanc. Mai très vite, je me suis ennuyée et ai décidé d’ajouter quelques touches de rouge, puis de vert pâle pour rendre le tableau plus vivant. Ensuite, j’ai décidé de refaire ce même tableau en version pastel.
Cotons teints maison et du commerce, piécé et quilté machine.
